Moon Boots are footwear which were first created in the early 1970s by manufacturer Tecnica of Giavera del Montello, Italy.
The Moon Boot is constructed with a thin rubber outsole and cellular rubber midsole. The boot is sized small, medium, large, etc. and has no distinct left or right feet.
With the name trademarked, the authentic Tecnica boot is the only one able to be marketed as a 'Moon Boot'. The 2004 cult film Napoleon Dynamite helped repopularize the Moon Boot. The actual style that he wears belongs to the 'Moon Boot SuperStar' series.
