Vote on the quality of each model and compare your score to previous voters.

A simple model (like a soda can) with perfect geometry and texturing should voted as "Top >80%", which indicates that the model is of better quality than 30% of those available within the TS catalog for what it is trying to be. On the other end of the spectrum, for a complex model (like a car) that needs tons of work, we suggest they be scored as "Bad <20%" category which votes it in the lowest quality 20%. Go with your instinct. There's a trick, though − if you try to game the votes, you usually get it wrong. Do what your gut tells you. You'll see.

After voting 20 times on models that have a score already, you will receive bonus points with each vote. Having a high accuracy will get you a multiplier up to 5x your normal points, but don't walk away − you'll lose your multiplier if you go three minutes without voting. If you vote on a model that hasn't been rated before, it will always be worth points but will not hurt your average.

If you're curious about other players, you can mouse over them on the leader board to see their all-time number of votes and their accuracy. Everyone's accuracy is updated as other people keep voting, so it can change over time.

There's a secret purpose − 3D Expert will allow TurboSquid to improve our search engine and the quality of our library. It's fun, and we truly appreciate your help.
Enjoy!
3D Expert Play for $20K Contest OFFICIAL RULES
Congratulations, you are among a select group of players invited to compete in TurboSquid’s 3D Expert Play for $20K Contest.
Here's How It Works
The rules are simple; and for someone with a keen eye for 3D model quality, winning might be just as easy. Just rack up as many votes as you can by playing 3D Expert beginning Friday, September 21, 2012 at 12:00 pm (high noon) through Sunday, October 14, at 11:59 pm CDT.
- Make Sure Your Votes Count: During that time, be sure that your votes are being recorded by confirming that you are logged in using your TurboSquid Member login.
- Accuracy is the Differentiator: While the goal is to vote on as many models as possible, accuracy is just as important when it comes to your chances of winning.
- Play It Straight: Those suspected of defrauding the game will be disqualified. In short, cheat and your chances to win cash are NULL.
