The Space Launch System, or SLS, is a United States Space Shuttle-derived heavy launch vehicle being designed and built by NASA, with the first unmanned flight expected November 2018. It follows the cancellation of the Constellation Program, and is to replace the retired Space Shuttle.
This 3D model contains components of 4 variants of the NASA's heavy lift rocket, SLS (Space Launch system):
- Block I Crew
- Block IB Crew
- Block IB Cargo
- Block II Cargo
It also includes proposed Advanced Liquid Rocket Boosters (ALRB), intended for the Block II variant of the SLS.
This model reflects NASA's post-CDR (Critical Design Review) design, with as much technical detail as it is currently publicly available. Please note that this model does NOT include payload (crew capsule, cargo, ...). All rocket components are individually modelled and separable from each other. Hide/unhide the layers to build different SLS configurations.
Modelled in 3DS MAX v8 format with a particular attention to detail, this model is supplied ready-to-render with materials, textures and bump maps. Please note that the lighting setup and/or rendering settings are NOT ncluded.
