Non-Realistic-Render little bush, suitable for cartoon or children entertainment products.
It renders well if lighted either with Standard Lights or with Photometric Lights (with or without exposure control). It also renders well with non-shadow-casting lights, because its own material builds a darkening occlusion, but if you wish you can use shadow-casting lights to improve the rendered look. The material has a very low computational cost, so if you use this model in a simple lighted scenario with no advanced lighting effects, it will render fast while keeping a nice looking.
The rendered previews provided here were done with no shadow casting and no advanced light solutions.
The model is nothing but an arranged bunch of leaves. You can easily rearrange them by moving, rotating, scaling, cloning and/or deleting leaves, thus being able to get many different bush shapes. Also, that way the poly count is variable.
It can be rendered both in mental ray and Scanline, although the later yields less visual features (it lacks of the tinted darkening due to occlusion).
It ships solo, and also with a white-environment version , the “Pocoyo” style :) , (mental ray only).
