This model is based on real dental models, and is an accurate representation of the human mouth. Its perfect for animation, advertising, character integration, scientific demonstrations, and anything you may need a realistic mouth for.
It is modeled using edge-loop topology, and very high detail texture maps, suitable for close-ups.
This model uses Mental Ray Sub Surface Scattering materials and Material X for a realistic look, as well as realistic Image Based Lighting, and all demo shots are rendered using Mental Ray in Maya 2015, which ships with Maya. The rendering workflow is linear for those who need such things, and works perfectly for those who don't as well.
This model is rigged for easy animation using standard Maya bones and skinning, and is easily used as a standalone model, or connected to a character rig for the inside of the mouth. It has 6 morph targets, and 10 phoneme positions for the tongue, all of which can be easily animated simply by selecting the tongue control, and adjusting the channels. The jaw and tongue can also be animated freely using the control handles.
This mouth is 5.54 centimeters wide at the back, and 9.9 centimeters deep from front to back, and about 7 centimeters high depending on animation.
