TurboSquid Introduces 3D Modeling Standards
(New Orleans – February 22, 2011) – TurboSquid, the world’s largest marketplace for 3D models, has introduced a series of 3D modeling standards for the stock 3D industry. The standards are publicly available as a series of Best Practices articles in their Knowledge Base.
The standards were introduced after nearly two years of research by TurboSquid staff. "We wanted to give our artists guidelines for quality 3D models, but couldn't find anything that had already been established," says Michele Bousquet, VP Marketing at TurboSquid. "We realized we would have to develop something ourselves, so we asked our customers." Bousquet adds that the standards were compiled after extensive surveys and interviews with customers across a variety of industries.
Founded in 2000, TurboSquid is the leading global marketplace for 3D Models. Customers in every line of production work from Movies, Games, Television News, Architecture, Advertising, Defense and more depend on TurboSquid to save their projects time and money. They are supplied world-class content by the Turbo Squid’s ever growing community of professional modelers.
